FRAZEYSBURG ? A. Margaret McDaniel, 76, of Nashport, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 17, 2005 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born October 24, 1928 in Roseville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Foster Alexander and Rosie Ella (Swingle) Pyle and was a graduate of Chandlersville High School. She attended Ohio University, Zanesville (OUZ) during its first year when classes were held at old Lash High School. Mrs. McDaniel was a Good Samaritan Intensive Care volunteer for ten years and was a Board of Elections poll worker in Licking Township for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Zanesville for over 50 years where she served as their youth leader, along with her husband, and was a Sunday school teacher and served on the church Christian Education and Mission Boards. Mrs. McDaniel had also been a member of the Order of Eastern Star for 58 years. She and her husband, Harold, were Foster Parents for a total of 38 newborn babies between the years of 1966 and 1971. Prior to her marriage she worked at Katsampes in Zanesville, but was at-home mother the remainder of her life. Surviving is her husband, Harold Wesley McDaniel, whom she married December 6, 1947; one daughter, Jacquelin Adams McCarroll of Chandlersville; two sons, Samuel (Janice) McDaniel of St. Peters, Missouri and Douglas (Cathy) McDaniel of Nashport; two grandchildren, Nicole Kristine McDaniel and Thomas Foster McDaniel of St. Peters, Missouri; one great grandson, Joshua Thomas McDaniel; one sister, Clara Mae Brown of Dexter City, Ohio; a close friend, Norman McCarroll of Chandlersville; long time friend and Maid of Honor at their wedding, Betty Wetherell; and special friends, Linda and Dick Cody; home health nurses, Valerie and Peggy; loved Home Hospice Angels, Kim, Carol and Lori; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Pyle; a son in-law, Joel McCarroll, and a brother in-law, Cecil Brown. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the funeral home with Pastor J. Reginald Martin, assisted by Rev. George Miller, officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
